JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. A diploma in Culinary Arts or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
* 0-6 months of relevant industry experience in a kitchen, restaurant, café or similar environment.
* Good knowledge of food ingredients.
* Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety.
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Skills:
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
* Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices.
* Proficient in using kitchen knives for tasks such as chopping, slicing, and dicing, with a focus on safety.
* Ability to manage time efficiently during peak service hours, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of meals.
* Languages: Capable to converse in English.

JOB SUMMARY
At Six Flags & AquaArabia Qiddiya City, the Commi Chef 2 – F&B Culinary will support kitchen operations in the preparation and delivery of high-quality standard of food across all Food & Beverage outlets. Working alongside senior chefs, this position ensures that dishes are prepared to the highest standard while maintaining strict kitchen hygiene and safety protocols. Responsibilities include basic food preparation, assisting in meal service, and contributing to the overall efficiency of kitchen operations to deliver an exceptional dining experience for guests.

JOB-SPECIFIC
Communicate effectively with senior chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination during food preparation and service.
Assist in preparing ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and portioning, to support efficient kitchen operations.
Ensure all kitchen areas and equipment are clean and organized, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
Support operation meal service times by assisting with cooking, presenting and serving dishes according to established guidelines and plating standards.
Prepare basic food items such as soups, sauces, salads, and appetizers under the guidance of senior chefs.
Train in established culinary techniques and kitchen procedures to continuously improve cooking skills.
Monitor food storage and ensure all ingredients are properly labeled and rotated to maintain freshness.
Provide support during peak service times, helping to manage food preparation and timely delivery of meals.
Participate in special events or themed food services, assisting with the preparation and service of menu items.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain consistency in food quality and presentation, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Follow instructions for preparing special dietary needs food choices, such as vegetarian, gluten-free, or allergy- sensitive dishes, in line with guest requests.
Assist in receiving and checking food deliveries, ensuring the quality and quantity of ingredients match orders, and reporting any discrepancies to senior chefs.
Ensure correct portion control during food preparation to minimize waste and maintain cost efficiency.
Help with the setup of buffet or self-service areas, ensuring food is replenished and presented attractively.
